On March 31, 2015, crews from Reisterstown, Owings Mills, Glyndon and several career stations were dispatched for an apartment fire in Station 56′s area. Upon arrival, Engine 56 (Franklin) advised heavy fire thru the roof on side alpha, and requested a 2nd Alarm.   Crews from Owings Mills Engine 311 and 312 arrived shortly thereafter and immediately went to work on extinguishment duties and assisting units from company 41 with rescues on side Charlie.  During the response, Engine 311, Engine 312, Utility 318, and Utility 319 responded, with most crews remaining on scene for almost 3 hours.

According to the Owings Mills Patch, fire investigators have determined that the fire was caused by a candle, and that four residents were hospitalized.
