Membership Types
Requirements (must be 16 years of age):
a. Minimum of 16 duty hours per month & 30 fundraising hours per year
b. Within first 90 days attend 3 company meetings and complete FEMA ICS, CPR & Blood Borne Pathogens courses
c. Within 1 year attend 6 company meetings and complete Firefighter 1 Course
Requirements (must be 16 years of age):
a. Minimum of 16 duty hours per month & 30 fundraising hours per year
b. Obtain EMT-B (approx 204 hrs) and attend 6 company meetings within one year probationary period
d. Complete three (3) FEMA Incident Command System online courses, CPR and Blood Borne Pathogens and attend 3 company meetings within 90 days
Requirements (must be 16 years old):
a. Minimum of 10 duty hours per month and 30 fundraising hours per year
b. Associate Members are not permitted to take any training classes or ride the apparatus
c. Attend three company meetings (2nd and 4th Monday of each month at 8pm) within 90 days and six meetings within one year
Membership Benefits
Volunteer first responders help their fellow citizens in times of need. Volunteers enjoy a sense of accomplishment, achievement, and pride in the work they do.
Formal emergency services and extending education is all tuition free. Members also receive gear at no charge
Members are eligible for tax deductions, scholarships, tuition reimbursements, insurance coverage. After 25 years of service, our members in compliance with the LOSAP program will receive monthly payments.
Membership Process
Requires payment of $60. Background check will be ordered. Fee waived for Maryland FF/EMS certified applicants.
In person interview at our station. Please bring your driver’s license and relevant certifications. Subsequent drug test will be ordered.
Once voted in by membership, orientation is made up of both online and onsite facilities training.
