Red Run Blvd Rescue with Auto Fire

Around 05:15 am on February 5, 2016, units from northwest Baltimore County were alerted for a 10-50PI (car accident) with rescue in the vicinity of Red Run Blvd and Dolfield Blvd in Owings Mills. Engine 56 arrived to find a vehicle on fire and another with a trapped patient. E56 quickly established command and began extinguishment of the fire. Special services pieces from Owings Mills, Reisterstown and Pikesville volunteer fire companies arrived shortly thereafter and began the task of extrication. Due to the damage of the vehicle, it took multiple tools and methods to extract the patient. Units operated on scene for approximately one hour before returning to service.
