Just before 1600 hrs on November 29th, units were initially alerted for a 10-50 PI involving a bus in front of 10516 Reisterstown Road. Seconds later, the call was upgraded to a 10-50 PI Rescue. Truck 313 and Engine 312 responded on the call – reported to be on Reisterstown Road in the area of the CSX railroad bridge. Truck 313 arrived first to find a school bus and passenger car involved as dispatched. Upon investigation, crews found the driver of the sedan to be unconscious and trapped. Truck 313 and Engine 312 began stabilizing the vehicle, assessing the patient and pulling a protective handline while other units attended to multiple patients on the school bus. Due to the patient’s condition, crews initially attempted to rapidly remove the patient from the passenger’s side of the vehicle. However, due to the intrusion of the vehicle on the driver’s side the patient could not be moved. Crews removed the driver’s door and were then able to remove the patient out of the passenger’s side to a waiting EMS crew. Units operated on the scene for approx. 45 minutes before returning to service.
On Wednesday evening minutes before 7 o’clock, Engine 311 along with other west side units were alerted for a reported Apartment Fire in Liberty Roads area off of Southall Road. Engine 311 responded on the run with 4 volunteers as the 3rd due engine and while en route dispatch gave responding units updated remarks that this was going to be a confirmed working fire. Engine and Truck 18 arrived minutes later with smoke showing. Engine 311 arrived second and assisted Company 18 units with extinguishment, ventilation, and overhaul of a kitchen fire. The Volunteers stayed busy responding to 13 other calls for service on this day.
Owings Mills Volunteer Fire Company would like to thank past and present service men and women who keep us all safe!

We will be mailing out our fund drive letter within the next 2 weeks.
If you receive a phone call from a firefighter from Baltimore County it is NOT from us.
Please dont be mislead. There is a career station telephone fund drive going on
currently. If you donate to that fund drive your money does not not benefit or come
to us. Please be aware that the only way to help us is to donate to us directly through
our fund drive mailing or by mailing a donation to us.
Any questions please call the station or email Marci Catlett at pio@omfire.org
Thank you for your support
