On the evening of Saturday, January 29th, a fire occurred in the Charles Village Pub in Towson off of Pennsylvania Avenue. Truck 313 and Engine 312 responded on the fire. Once the truck arrived at location, the incident had already went to defensive operations so crews reported to the front of the building for exterior operations. Engine 312 staged with other companies and were released a few hours later. Numerous blitz lines and master streams were put in service. The truck remained on the scene for about 4 hours and returned to service after midnight.

The Officers and members of the Owings Mills Volunteer Fire Company would like to extend our condolences to the Lutherville Volunteer Fire Company. On Wednesday evening, Firefighter/Paramedic Mark Falkenhan was killed in the Line of Duty while battling a Four Alarm Apartment Fire in Hillendale. Squad 303′s crew was operating on the third floor of the apartment building and as they were completing their primary search, they encountered heavy fire conditions and became trapped. FF/PM Falkenhan gave his life so that others may live, a bravery which is the highest tradition in the fire service. He leaves behind a wife and 2 children. Rest Easy Brother, you will never be forgotten!
