Halloween morning proved to be eventful for the Volunteers. Station 31 units were alerted for a shooting on Buxton Circle. Engine 311 with 5 personnel along with Medic 315 with 3 personnel responded and arrived to find a male shot multiple times. Trooper 1 was requested due to the priority of the patient. Engine 312 with 4 personnel established a landing site. Patient was flown to Shock Trauma.
Company 31 units along with surrounding stations were dispatched for the reported Dwelling Fire on Allgate Road Monday evening. Engine 312 and Truck 313 arrived to find a single story dwelling with smoke showing. After investigation it was deemed that food was left on the stove and the assignment was held to the first due units. Equipment was ready for service in less than a half hour.
On Sunday morning we had high rise training with Engine 2, Engine 3, Engine 18, Truck 18, Station 46, BC 22 and Station 31. The first hour was a presentation on tactics and then the next few hours were several evolutions.
Owings Mills and Liberty Road Fire Companies conducted training on Ladder Pipe Operations . Both companies trained to maximize water flow operations for Exterior operations. Truck 313 and Engine 464 were utilized for the training.
